The Role: Site Reliability Engineer (Node.js)
As a Site Reliability Engineer at Kodify, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to deliver fast, reliable, and secure systems that can handle millions of daily visitors.
You’ll design and maintain scalable platforms, optimize Node.js application performance, and lead initiatives around observability, automation, and security.
Your unique blend of infrastructure engineering and software development expertise will help us continuously improve reliability, enhance developer experience, and push our systems to new heights.
What You’ll Do
Here’s what you’ll be working on day to day:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable systems that serve millions of users.
- Develop and improve monitoring, alerting, and logging using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Automate operational processes to reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams to build reliability into every stage of the SDLC.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring smooth performance across services.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment reliability.
- Optimize Node.js applications, from performance tuning to resource utilization.
- Advocate for best practices in reliability, performance, and security.
You’ll also join our on-call rotation, helping ensure our systems stay healthy, stable, and lightning-fast.

Minimum Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and its ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of networking, distributed systems, and OS fundamentals.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scripting skills in Python or Bash.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- On-call experience and incident management background.
- Understanding of security best practices.
