About the Role
- We are seeking a creative, skilled, and detail-driven Video Editor to join our media team.
- The ideal candidate is passionate about visual storytelling, has strong news judgment, and is capable of producing high-quality video content for broadcast, digital, and social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with reporters, editors, and producers to develop compelling visual narratives
- Edit video content using professional editing software (e.g., Filmora, CapCut,Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
- Knowlege of Artificial Intelligent
- Ensure all video content meets editorial standards and deadlines
- Stay updated on current events and respond quickly to breaking news assignments
- Maintain and organize video equipment and media assets
Requirements
- A Degree or Diploma in Film/Media Production, or a related field
- Experience with drone operation, live streaming, or mobile journalism (MoJo) is an added advantage
- Proven experience as a video editor, preferably in a televison studio or media environment
- Strong technical skills with professional videoediting tools
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent storytelling, communication, and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of journalism ethics and newsroom standards
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends or during breaking news
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous video journalism work.
