Role Overview
- The Partnerships Development & Fundraising Intern will support Wale Lab in identifying strategic partners, sponsors, collaborators, and funding opportunities that align with our mission and programs.
- This role is ideal for someone interested in partnerships, communications, fundraising, organizational growth, and ecosystem building.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential partners, sponsors, donors, grant opportunities, and collaborators aligned with Wale Lab’s vision
- Support outreach efforts through emails, LinkedIn communication, proposals, and follow-ups
- Assist in preparing partnership proposals, sponsorship decks, and fundraising materials
- Maintain organized records of outreach activities, partnership pipelines, and engagement updates
- Support relationship management with existing and prospective partners
- Assist in coordinating partnership meetings, webinars, events, and collaboration initiatives
- Conduct background research on organizations to strengthen outreach strategy and alignment
- Support fundraising and sustainability initiatives for Wale Lab programs and projects
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Good writing and presentation ability
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Ability to conduct effective online research
- Comfortable using Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and communication tools
- Interest in partnerships, fundraising, innovation ecosystems, or organizational growth
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
