Youth Researcher at YLabs

YLabs, a global design and research organization focused on improving health and economic opportunities for young people, is hiring Youth Researchers in Nigeria for a short-term remote and field-based contract role running from May to mid-July 2026.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews, observations, and group discussions with young people and community members
• Capture field insights, notes, and research findings accurately
• Support community engagement and field coordination activities
• Participate in debrief sessions and contribute to research analysis
• Follow ethical research and safeguarding guidelines at all times

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in research, community engagement, M&E, or related fields
• Strong communication skills in English and local languages
• Ability to engage respectfully with diverse communities
• Comfortable using digital tools and attending remote meetings
• Must be based in Nigeria with good knowledge of local communities and culture

Pay & Contract

• Short-term contractor role
• Pay rate up to $11 per hour based on experience
• Monthly payment via bank transfer
