Job Description
YLabs, a global design and research organization focused on improving health and economic opportunities for young people, is hiring Youth Researchers in Nigeria for a short-term remote and field-based contract role running from May to mid-July 2026.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews, observations, and group discussions with young people and community members
- Capture field insights, notes, and research findings accurately
- Support community engagement and field coordination activities
- Participate in debrief sessions and contribute to research analysis
- Follow ethical research and safeguarding guidelines at all times
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in research, community engagement, M&E, or related fields
- Strong communication skills in English and local languages
- Ability to engage respectfully with diverse communities
- Comfortable using digital tools and attending remote meetings
- Must be based in Nigeria with good knowledge of local communities and culture
Pay & Contract
- Short-term contractor role
- Pay rate up to $11 per hour based on experience
- Monthly payment via bank transfer
