Role Description

• We are seeking a Django Full Stack Developer Trainee to join our team.
• This role is designed for recent graduates awaiting NYSC placement who have hands-on experience with Django and are eager to apply their skills in a professional environment.
• As a trainee, you will gain real-world project exposure by working on live applications that integrate AI, APIs, and cloud-based services, while developing your front-end and back-end skills.
• This role provides an excellent opportunity to build practical experience during your service year, with the possibility of full-time employment afterward.

Responsibilities of the Zerotozenith Media Django Full Stack Developer Trainee Program

• Assist in building and maintaining web applications using Django and Django REST Framework
• Contribute to developing responsive front-end features using React or basic JavaScript frameworks
• Work with PostgreSQL databases: create models, queries, and optimize performance
• Support integration of third-party APIs into live applications
• Learn and contribute to asynchronous tasks with Celery and related tools
• Participate in debugging, testing, and troubleshooting issues
• Collaborate with product managers and senior developers to meet project goals
• Gain exposure to AI integration (Azure OpenAI and similar services)

Requirements for the Zerotozenith Media Django Full Stack Developer Trainee Program

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a related field
• Recent graduate awaiting NYSC placement and available for the full service year
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience working with Django and WordPress OR personal projects showcasing your ability
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python (Django)
• Familiarity with Django REST Framework and database concepts (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
• Willingness to learn modern front-end frameworks like React.
• Ability to work in a team, follow instructions, and contribute to live projects.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with React or TypeScript
• Basic experience with Git or other version control systems
• Understanding of web performance and SEO basics
• Exposure to API integration
